Grammar Course
We teach you basic Japanese skills using textbooks in the grammar course.
You are going to learn lot of vocabularies and grammar structures in the class. You will be able to make sentences with them. We have lots of levels such as 5 levels of Beginner and Intermediate class and 6 levels of Pre-Advanced and Advanced class. For a totally beginner student, you can learn basic Japanese. For a student who has studied for long time, you can learn in your business situation. We are happy to help you to improve your Japanese language skills! **The subject formats were originally created for adult learners. |
Conversation Course
In this course, we focus on speaking Japanese. You are going to use grammars that you have learned in a grammar class. We will practice speaking in an actual situation with your classmate and teacher. We will make conversations in situational as well.
We do not use any textbook, but we provide our original handmade materials which are based on the levels of the class. We pick a topic based on season too. We always accept your requests what you would like to learn, so please let us know if you have an idea what you would like to learn! The levels are Beginner, Intermediate, Pre-Advance and Advance. Also we have Advance Kanji class. We recommend the Advance Kanji class to students who can speak Pre-Advance to Advance level but not enough Kanji skills. You can train your Japanese speaking skill in those courses! |
JLPT Preparation course
This course is for preparing taking JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test). JLPT is taking place once a year in December, in Los Angeles.
There are 5 levels which we call N1, N2, N3, N4 and N5. You can learn the technique of answering the test for knowing how much you can do. We have classes for N1 to N4 for year-round and N5 for 3 months from September. |

Group Lessons

The class is a 70-minute lesson, and the class size is a small class of 3-10 people.(about 6 people on average)

Once a week course $380.00 ~ (70min x 10weeks/12weeks)This course has 10 lessons. (10weeks/12weeks)
You will study once a week at the same day & time. There are a grammar class and a conversation class. In a grammar class, we teach Japanese with a curriculum based on a textbook we use. You will take a test in the 9th week. The test will show you how much you have improved your Japanese skills. The conversation class has various levels. If you are interested in it, we will talk which is proper level for you. |
Two Different Course per week $720.00 ~ (70min x 20times in 10weeks/12weeks)This course has 20 lessons. (10weeks/12weeks)
this course, you can take the same level of the classes for reviewing what you studied, you can take the 2 different level of the classes and you can take both grammar and conversation classes. If you would like to study twice a week, we recommend you to take this course. |
Semi-Private course $440.00 ~ (70min x 10weeks)If you would like to study with your friends, family or partner, we recommend you to take this course.
We can reschedule your lesson when you are busy at work or you are taking vacation if you let us know in advance. Other students never join in your class, so you can study your own pace. |
Make-UP Lesson $32.00 (50min)If you couldn’t join your registered class since you are sick or you were busy at work, you can have a make-up lesson to catch up the class you missed.
This class is for 50 min. If you know the day you can’t join the class before the course starts, you can discuss about the make-up lesson with your teacher in advance. |
Reviewing course $38.00 (70min)
We open reviewing class ($38 / 70 min) after 10 weeks group course for 2-3 times before the new course starts. You can review difficult grammars what you learned in a group lesson in the reviewing class.
You can also study listening practice which we usually don't have enough time in the class and you can also experience an extracurricular class. We can make your lesson upon your requests. |
Special Intensive class $38.00 (70min)
We open special intensive classes ($38 / 70 min) between the course and new course starts.
The contents are decided randomly. It's one or two lesson for a topic. ex; Particles, speaking, form conjugation and so on. It depends on the students request and the schedule. We will announce the class schedule via Web-page and SNS. |

Private Lessons

In this course you can study grammar, conversation, exam preparation course of the same class type as Group lesson at your pace.

Private Lesson $65.00 (70min)Private lesson is one-on-one lesson for 70min.
We will teach you grammars which are followed by a text book. You can study on your pace. In this lesson, you can also study daily conversation, prepare for an examination, study business Japanese you can use at a company and useful Japanese for traveling. |
Semi-Private Lesson $55.00 (70min)We recommend to take this lesson if you would like to study Japanese with your family, friends and a partner.
We have 10 weeks lesson, but if you would like to pay one at the time or take few lessons to learn daily Japanese conversation before going to Japan, this would be a good lesson for you. |
Conversation Practice $40.00 (50min)You can take this lesson between 10:30am-5:30pm. This is a 50min lesson.
You can practice conversational Japanese with your teacher. To take this lesson, you need to finish studying at least Beginner 3 at our school. If you are more interested in speaking Japanese rather than studying grammar, we recommend you to take this lesson. |
Special classes
Kanji CalligraphyJapanese Calligraphy class $35.00 (60min)You will learn Japanese traditional Calligraphy in this class.
You will also learn the meanings of Kanji, too. If you would like, we exhibit works you worked on during the lessons when we have an event. |

Japanese Teacher Training course $5,700.00 (11 weeks, 8 hours/day)
You can get a certificate of completion of 420 hours Japanese Teacher Training. It's also great opportunity for us to learn about English and Japanese relations as a language. FUJI SCHOOL is now hiring a Japanese teacher.
